WHAT IS DEVELOPMENTAL EDITING?

Developmental editing looks at the big picture of your novel, analyzing plot points, characterization, beats, and pacing to help streamline your narrative. Out of all the services I offer, developmental editing is the most time consuming and plot-focused service, including two read throughs of your work. I make reactions to things as I read the first time and suggest possible improvements for structure on the second read through.

It's also great for authors struggling to figure out if their story beats are properly in place or aren't sure about where to proceed with self edits. WHAT ARE YOUR RATES FOR DEVELOPMENTAL EDITING?

Rates are $0.025 per word. If your manuscript is 50k, that would make your developmental edit $1,250.
